About Us

ASL Interpreter Corps, LLC (ASLIC) is a veteran and woman owned, small business serving central Maryland and the Baltimore/Washington DC metropolitan area. 

ASLIC was established in 2011 by Marie (Alford) Bennett, a nationally certified interpreter with over 15 years of experience. Born into a Deaf family, Marie has a strong understanding of Deaf culture and the need for quality interpreters. Serving 8 years in the Army, her military experience strengthened her qualities of integrity, discipline and leadership. These qualities combined with the roots of the Deaf community inspired her vision to maintain high standards for professionalism in the interpreting field.    

It is ASLIC’s mission to provide quality sign language interpreters with integrity and ethical values. Professionals, who are committed to preserving our practice and dedicated to customer service.
